Amanda Vickers, NP-C, is a certified nurse practitioner who provides care to patients with a range of neurosurgical conditions.
Amanda has always been driven to help people. After graduating from University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and concentration in healthcare, she went on to Drexel University in Philadelphia. There she earned another bachelor’s and a Master of Science in Nursing degree to become a nurse practitioner.
Drawn to the complexity of the neurosurgical specialty, Amanda likes to be continually learning as she stays up to date in her field. She works with patients who have various types of brain or spinal conditions and helps them prepare for or recover from neurosurgery. She provides compassionate follow-up care with the goal of improving each individual’s quality of life. Getting to know her patients and making a positive impact in their lives is what Amanda finds most fulfilling about being a nurse practitioner.
Outside of work, Amanda loves spending time with her dogs. She also enjoys cooking and trying new foods.
