Dr. Andrew Gambone is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in both Sports Medicine and Pediatric Orthopaedics.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and later went on to earn his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. After medical school, he traveled to Michigan to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Wayne State University.
During his residency, Dr. Gambone developed dual interests in pediatrics and sports medicine. He went on to complete fellowships in Pediatric Orthopaedics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and then in Sports Medicine at Penn State University.
His specialty practice allows him to provide the highest level of comprehensive patient care to all ages. He is dedicated in establishing a strong level of communication with his patients and providing a comfortable experience for both patients and their families. Dr. Gambone strives to educate his patients about their orthopaedic problem, develop a treatment plan, and then work as a team to restore their quality of life.
Dr. Gambone treats a variety of bone, muscle and joint conditions that include non-operative and surgical management of pediatric and adult athletic injuries. He is also trained to provide fracture care, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and total joint replacement.
Dr. Gambone and his wife Maria are native Philadelphians and stay busy with their three young sons and dog. Dr. Gambone credits wanting to become a physician back to his alma mater St. Joseph’s Prep where he was taught to be a “man for others.”
