Colleen Allorto, DO, is a pediatrician with special interests in adolescent medicine and behavioral health, experienced in helping families with treatment of common conditions such as attention deficit disorder and depression.
Dr. Allorto has always loved children and she was driven to become a pediatrician to help families raise healthy, happy kids. She came to Central Delaware as a resident in a local pediatrics practice and fell in love with the area, so she decided to stay to raise her family here.
With 20 years of experience as a pediatrician throughout Delaware and as a seasoned mom, Dr. Allorto treats her patients as if they were her own children. She takes pride in supporting families and in treating the whole person— not just addressing an individual problem. Rather than first turning to medication for treatment, she looks for more natural ways that the body can heal itself. In addition to providing exceptional care to children of all ages and teens, she is passionate about using her expertise to train future doctors in pediatric care through Bayhealth’s Residency program.
Outside of her work, Dr. Allorto likes to give back to her community and is very active with a local scouting organization. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, traveling and above all, she values time spent with her family and her children.
