John “Scot” Winstead, PA-C, is a Physician’s Assistant who sees patients needing care for vascular conditions.
Winstead grew up in Caroline County, Maryland. After 20 years of living in Northern Delaware, he moved back home after purchasing a farm. His move also presented him with the opportunity to provide care closer to his new home. Winstead’s fascination for anatomy started in sixth grade when he was shown a film called “The Body Human.” His passion for medicine continues to grow along with his career.
Winstead’s philosophy of care always puts the patient first. He understands receiving the best care is a priority and approaches each patient encounter with diligence and compassion. His experience with patients is well-rounded, having 20 years of experience assisting several types of surgery patients.
When Winstead is not taking care of patients, he spends time on his farm raising steers, hogs, goats and chickens. He enjoys sharing the farm with his son and six grandchildren.
