Kandis Samuels-Leutzinger, MD, is a family medicine doctor who's there for your entire family as it grows. Offering OB-GYN care, including prenatal care and low-risk deliveries, she also caters to moms-to-be.
From an early age, Dr. Samuels aspired to be a physician and knew she wanted to form the deep and personal connections that people can have with a trusted family doctor. During her medical training, the deep fulfillment she felt in helping a mother during her pregnancy, delivering a baby, and continuing to share in the family’s life moments confirmed that family medicine was the perfect field for her.
Born and raised in Delaware, Dr. Samuels is proud to be back in her home state to deliver a broad range of primary care to families in her community. She is also a faculty member in Bayhealth’s Family Medicine Residency program, and is excited to train future generations of family physicians and share her love for full-spectrum family medicine.
Dr. Samuels is humbled by the opportunity to be a family doctor to mothers, their partners and extended family, and children of all ages, and to play an important part in helping all of them lead healthy and happy lives. Through careful listening and compassion, she ensures that every patient’s concerns are heard and that they have the care and support they need in navigating their individual wellness journeys.
In her spare time, Dr. Samuels enjoys DIY arts and crafts activities with her family.
