Pavandip Virdi, MD

Pavandip Virdi, MD, is a family medicine doctor who provides primary care services with a specialty in geriatric medicine. 

Since an early age, Dr. Virdi has had a strong love for the human body, teaching and giving back to the community. Medicine captured all three interests for her, so becoming a doctor was a natural path. On a college trip to Ecuador, she shadowed local physicians in rural areas and saw how significantly comprehensive and preventative care can impact a community. 

Dr. Virdi is driven each day to provide patient-focused care and preventative services that strengthen the health of individuals and families. She takes pride in forming personal connections with each patient and being an advocate for them in working through any challenges—including lifestyle, social or economic elements— so they can live their healthiest life. What’s most fulfilling in her work is empowering patients and seeing them taking charge of their own health. 

With specialty training and experience in geriatric care, Dr. Virdi is uniquely equipped to help older adults in particular, and their caregivers, with the wellness concerns and struggles they face. She has interests in dementia, palliative care and end-of-life care. Dr. Virdi is also passionate about teaching and mentoring new physicians through Bayhealth’s Family Medicine Residency program. 

In her free time, Dr. Virdi loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys hiking and exploring new cities and cultures with her husband.
