Sumeet Multani, MD, is a vascular and interventional neurologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders of the blood vessels in the head and neck.
Dr. Multani has always been fascinated by the human brain, and knew he wanted to pursue a noble profession where he could change people’s lives for the better. Over the course of eight years, he completed a residency in neurology, a fellowship in vascular neurology and most recently did an additional fellowship in neuro interventional surgery. Through this advanced training, he has fine-tuned his abilities to treat a range of complex neurovascular diseases, blood clots, aneurysms, and other cerebrovascular problems through medicine as well as catheter-based therapies.
During his residency in Philadelphia, Dr. Multani was aware of Delaware and saw the vital need for vascular neurologists in our area. He has helped build and grow a strong neurology and vascular neurology program here at Bayhealth, providing much needed options for care close to home for our community members.
Dr. Multani strives to provide thorough and innovative care that brings the most benefit to his patients. Knowing that neurological diseases can often be complicated and very challenging for patients and their family members, he approaches each situation with compassion. Whether treating stroke or an abnormal blood vessel in the brain, he takes great pride in being able to apply a medical intervention to make a difference in a patient’s life.
When he’s not working, Dr. Multani does photography as a hobby.
