President, Bayhealth Foundation, Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer
Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, MDiv, DMin, is president of the Bayhealth Foundation and senior vice president and chief development officer of Bayhealth Medical Center. As leader and chief strategist, he supervises all aspects of the foundation’s operation, including events, activities, staff, budgeting, strategic planning, campaign steering groups, Junior Board, and Auxiliary. Under his thoughtful leadership, the Foundation team raises between $2.5 and $5 million annually, and recently concluded a campaign that generated $15.5 million in support of the new Bayhealth Sussex Campus.
The work of the Bayhealth Foundation extends far and wide: funds it raises help Bayhealth continue its mission to improve the health of the central and southern Delaware communities. Dollars donated support the purchase of life-saving equipment, vital facility expansion and renovations, patient care, and other needs, as well as Bayhealth Graduate Medical Education, a program that improves access to care.
Rhodenbaugh brings a wealth of healthcare and higher education leadership expertise to his role at Bayhealth. Prior to joining the organization in 2013, he held senior roles at the University of Pennsylvania (Pennsylvania Hospital), Ursinus College, Carthage College, and other institutions. Rhodenbaugh also brings spiritual insight to the role, having been a director of church relations for a college and serving on pastoral teams at Lutheran churches earlier in his career.
A member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Rhodenbaugh received his BA (double major in religion and business administration) from Augustana College. He earned a master of divinity degree at Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary and a doctor of ministry at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.
