Bayhealth Recognized for Excellence with ACC HeartCARE Center Designation

At Bayhealth, we work hard to ensure our cardiovascular patients receive the very best care. That’s why we’re excited to announce we’ve received the HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence for a second time in two years. The American College of Cardiology (ACC) recognizes our demonstrated commitment to comprehensive, high-quality culture and cardiovascular care.

Hospitals and health systems that have earned an ACC HeartCARE Center designation have met a specific set of criteria, including participating in at least two ACC Accreditation Services programs and submitting quality performance data to the National Cardiovascular Data Registries.

Hospitals receiving the HeartCARE Center designation from the ACC have demonstrated their commitment to consistent, high-quality cardiovascular care through comprehensive process improvement, disease and procedure-specific accreditation, professional excellence, and community engagement. Bayhealth has proven to be a forward-thinking institution with goals to advance the cause of sustainable quality improvement.

"This designation further spotlights our excellent processes, policies, and care and quality outcomes as evidenced by observation and nationally-tracked data registries."

In addition to the HeartCARE Center designation, Bayhealth has also received Cardiac Cath Lab Accreditation, Electrophysiology Lab Accreditation, and was first in the state to receive Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Certification.
