Bayhealth Hosts Cancer Care Informational Dinner

Bayhealth hosted an informational event at Bonz Restaurant inside Harrington Raceway and Casino. This event was geared toward informing the community and friends of Bayhealth Foundation about the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.
John D. Shevock, FACHE, FACMPE, senior director of operations, oncology service line and executive director Bayhealth Cancer Institute, highlighted the comprehensive cancer services and programs offered through the Bayhealth Cancer Institute. The Bayhealth Cancer Institute has expanded their clinical research program and recently started the development of a Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program to train the next generation of hematologist-oncologist providers.
As a member of the Penn Cancer Network and the only cancer program in Delaware affiliated with a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Program, Bayhealth offers patients opportunities to participate in clinical trials and access to tertiary second opinions through Penn Medicine.
“As the Bayhealth Cancer Institute continues to grow and expand, we want to keep the community informed of our services and programs and make them feel a part of the Bayhealth Cancer Institute family,” said Shevock. “We are grateful for the opportunity to share with the community updates on our progress and how the Bayhealth Cancer Institute is bringing new and innovative care models to our local community and our patients.”
