Bayhealth Foundation Launches Women’s Leadership Council to Support Health Initiatives
The Bayhealth Foundation is proud to announce the formation of its Women’s Leadership Council, a group of community-minded women committed to advancing Bayhealth’s mission through advocacy, education and philanthropy.
Meeting quarterly, the council provides a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with Bayhealth leaders and gain deeper insights into the health system’s work. At its most recent meeting, the council learned about the vital role of Patient Access, presented by Director of Patient Access Lisa Mair, MBA, RHIA.
The council includes the following members: Sarah Beebe, Vilicia Cade, Ellison Carey, Susan Chinnici, Jo Anne Clendaniel, Kimberly Connell, Rebecca Grier, SaraKate Hammer, Cassandra Humphrey-Jenkins, Patti Key, Christina Kontis, Lisa Mair, Pamela Marecki, Stephanie McClellan, Barbara Rutt, Shalini Sawhney, Stephanie Christiano Smith, Okemah Strickland and Molly Chorman.
The Women’s Leadership Council is also committed to driving impact through annual fundraising initiatives. Co-chaired by Mair and Christiano Smith, the council is excited to announce its inaugural event, “Poured With Purpose: An Afternoon Tea Affair,” to benefit programs at the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.
This event, hosted on July 24 at King Cole Farm in Dover, Delaware, promises a great day of philanthropy with a meal, auctions and entertainment. Funds raised will directly benefit cancer care programs and services at Bayhealth, ensuring no patient has to choose between financial stability and life-saving care.
“I’m honored to be a part of this incredible group of women who are committed to improving healthcare in our community,” said Mair. “Through meaningful engagement and impactful fundraising, the Women’s Leadership Council looks forward to making an impact.”
