Bayhealth Foundation Hosts Planned Giving Seminar

The Bayhealth Foundation recently hosted an estate planning seminar at the Wild Quail Country Club with Attorney Adam Gerber, partner at Wolfe & Associates.

Mr. Gerber helped attendees learn how planned giving provides the resources necessary to sustain excellence and preserve the future of Bayhealth. He shared some common and tax-advantaged giving options, including:

• Designating Bayhealth a gift in your will
• Naming the Bayhealth Foundation as a beneficiary
• Giving retirement assets through a beneficiary designation
• Charitable gift annuity

Attendees learned about key steps to setting up an estate plan include developing a plan with a timeline and budget, choosing a specific type of planned gift like a bequest and understanding the associated tax implications.
