
Bayhealth Welcomes New General Surgeon Patrick Elliott, DO, FACS
Bayhealth is proud to welcome Board Certified General Surgeon Patrick Elliott, DO, FACS. Specializing in general and acute care surgery for those who are critically ill or injured, Dr. Elliott commonly performs hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery and emergency abdominal procedures. He is accepting new patients.
Bayhealth General Surgery has practices in Dover and at the Sussex Campus in Milford as part of Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians and advanced practice clinicians and teams that operates medical offices throughout Delaware. Dr. Elliott joins Edward Alexander, MD; Theodoros Katsichtis, MD, FACS, DABOM; Barath Krishnan, MD; Krishnaraj Mahendraraj, MD; John Mitchell, MD; and Assar A. Rather, MD, FACS, FASCRS, in the Bayhealth General Surgery, Dover practice.

Dr. Elliott received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned numerous scholarships and the Galen S. Young, Sr. Award for Excellence in Surgery. He later completed a surgical residency and served as chief resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Cook County Hospital. As a member of the U.S. Army, Dr. Elliott proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division and as a commander of a surgical team and chief of general surgery for Blanchfield Army Medical Center at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He also served a deployment as a battalion surgeon with the 18th Airborne corps/82nd Airborne Division as part of the Multinational Force and Observers in Sinai, Egypt.
Dr. Elliott continued his surgical career as a private practice general and trauma surgeon with Crozer Chester Medical Center in Pennsylvania. He also worked as an on-call trauma surgeon at Aria-Jefferson Health Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, as president of Brinton Lake Ambulatory Surgery Center in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and as surgery site director and chief of surgery at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
