Bariatric Program Support Group

The support group is a forum designed to provide education, assistance and support for a healthier lifestyle and behaviors.
Our Bariatric Surgery Support Group is a safe, positive and supportive environment where all Bayhealth Bariatric patients, and their friends and family who share their support, are welcome before or after surgery.

Topics and discussion within the group are focused around weight management and include:

• Stress/emotional eating management
• Skill-building for long-term weight loss
• Social support/pressures
• Goal setting
• Nutrition/vitamins
• Exercise & physical activity
• Sleep & healthy lifestyle (Sleep & weight, OSA)
• Guest Speakers (Bariatric surgeon, RD, Sleep Specialist, Plastic Surgeon)
