Speech Language Pathology Services, or Speech Therapy, consists of the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Individual treatment plans are created for each patient using the input of the diagnostic testing, along with patient and family involvement.
Why Bayhealth?
The Bayhealth Speech Pathology team is comprised of therapists who hold a national certification from the American Speech Hearing Association. The team treats patients in all types of settings within the hospital including, acute care inpatient, outpatient and home health care. In some cases, the patient may have the same therapist throughout their recovery period from the hospital to home to outpatient care. This provides consistency and service excellence while providing a caring relationship between the patient, therapist and the caregivers.
