Bayhealth Leads Fundraising Efforts for Heart Health Second Year in a Row

The Southern Delaware Heart Walk proved to be a beautiful day for a beautiful cause. Bayhealth team members, clinicians and supporters donned their bright blue shirts and celebrated another successful year of fundraising on behalf of the American Heart Association of Delaware (AHA). Bayhealth, the premiere signature sponsor for the 2023 Southern Delaware Heart Walk, led the effort in fundraising for the second year in a row with over $48,000 donated.
Bayhealth Senior Director of Operations Cardiovascular Service Line Ben Collins, MBA, BSN, showed his commitment to improving cardiovascular health for his community by coming in as top individual fundraiser, raising over $5,000. “This is more than a walk, this is a way for us to come together as a community to support the AHA in the fight against cardiovascular disease which continues to be the leading cause of death in the United States,” stated Collins. “The team at Bayhealth never ceases to amaze me in their efforts, excitement, and commitment to this cause each and every year. They are the super stars behind all of our success.”
“It does not surprise me that we continue to exceed our fundraising goal,” said Bayhealth Heart Walk Leadership Committee member and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Manager Devin Rhodes. “Our team members get really creative and it is amazing to know how we are supporting our patients and community. We care for our cardiovascular patients everyday at Bayhealth and it is nice to get out and celebrate with them and our team members.”
