Bayhealth Hosting “Go Pink at the Rink” Event

Plus free screenings in mobile care unit

Bayhealth is excited to invite community members to its inaugural “Go Pink at the Rink” event on Friday, Oct. 6 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Dover Skating Center, 2201 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.

Go Pink at the Rink is an extension of Bayhealth's annual Go Pink! efforts that support breast cancer screenings and help increase awareness and education around the disease.

All community members are welcome to attend this FREE event for a fun-filled evening of skating with friends and family.

Clinicians will also be on-site offering free clinical breast exams in Bayhealth’s new mobile health unit—Health on the Move. In addition, clinicians and staff will provide education around breast cancer and the importance of getting screened as well as information on the range of services offered at the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.

“While much of our Go Pink! efforts are focused on raising funds for screenings and education, Go Pink at the Rink is focused solely on engaging the community and raising awareness around breast cancer,” shared John Shevock, FACHE, FACMPE, Bayhealth Cancer Institute executive director and senior director of operations, Oncology Service Line. “We’re also so proud to offer free and convenient clinical breast exams to those who may not otherwise get screened.”
