Bayhealth attended Delaware State University’s (DSU’s) Health Fair to inform community members about health-related issues.
The event proved to be a success as community members and DSU students were able to assess the opportunities and services that Bayhealth has to offer. DSU students who are studying nursing were able to speak with professionals in the field and gain insight as to what their future could look like at Bayhealth.
“As a student here at Delaware State University, it was incredibly eye-opening to see all that is being offered within my community. Hearing from healthcare professionals has given me some food for thought,” said one DSU student.
Bayhealth’s Bariatric Coordinator Patricia Deer, MSM, BSN, BS, RN, CNOR, CBN, provided information on obesity and healthy weight management. She also included information on weight loss options that are offered at Bayhealth.
Bayhealth’s Chaplaincy team was also in attendance to inform community members about Bayhealth’s Chaplaincy services.
Blood pressure screenings and information regarding medication disposable bags were provided by members of Bayhealth’s Education department.
Through community events such as the DSU Health Fair, Bayhealth aims to promote the wellness of our community, inform community members about health-related issues and provide access to resources.
