Bayhealth Brings Free Breast Exams and Support Services to Local Communities

Wednesday, September 3, 2025 | Cancer Care

As part of its “Go Pink! Grow Hope” initiative, the Bayhealth Cancer Institute is hitting the road to deliver free clinical breast exams, health education and resources to communities across Kent and Sussex counties.

Through its mobile health unit, Bayhealth is removing barriers to care by offering no-cost, no-referral and no-insurance-required breast exams at four convenient community locations. The effort supports early detection of breast cancer and emphasizes the importance of regular exams, especially for women age 40 and older.

“Early detection saves lives, and by meeting people where they are, we’re making that lifesaving care more accessible than ever,” shared Executive Director, Bayhealth Cancer Institute and Senior Director, Oncology Service Line John Shevock, FACHE, FACMPE. “Go Pink! Grow Hope is more than a campaign—it's a commitment to proactive health, empowerment and hope.”
