All Bayhealth mammography machines will be equipped to provide 3D tomosynthesis. FDA approved, 3D tomosynthesis provides a more detailed image, detecting breast cancer 41 percent more effectively while still using a low dose of radiation.
Bayhealth patients won’t notice any difference in their procedure, but their new mammogram will show more layers of breast tissue so that our radiologists have a clearer view of abnormalities.
