Bayhealth Celebrates the Graduation of Inaugural Clinician Leadership Development Program Class
Bayhealth is proud to announce the graduation of the inaugural class of its Clinician Leadership Development Program (CLDP), a transformative nine-month initiative aimed at empowering physicians and advanced practice clinicians with the leadership skills essential for navigating today’s complex healthcare environment.
Launched in September 2024, the CLDP was designed to close the knowledge gap between medical training and the demands of leadership within a modern health system. The program featured monthly, half-day, interactive sessions led by Bayhealth’s executive leaders and experts, covering key topics such as healthcare finance, organizational structure, self-awareness and effective team collaboration.
“When we opened the application process last summer, we were thrilled by the enthusiasm and caliber of applicants from across the Bayhealth system,” said Lawrence Ward, MD, MPH, MACP, vice president, Physician Services & Clinical Integration at Bayhealth. “The energy and dedication of this first cohort are incredible. Watching their leadership skills grow over the past nine months has been inspiring.”
Keisha Morris, Bayhealth’s director of Leadership & Organizational Development, added, “We’re committed to developing tailored professional growth opportunities across all stages of a healthcare career. The CLDP is just one example of our investment in the future of clinical leadership at Bayhealth.”
