As a regional healthcare leader, Bayhealth continues to bring on talented new physicians in a range of specialties to care for our community. Abhishek Agnihotri, MD, joins the Bayhealth Gastroenterology, Dover team that includes Gastroenterologists Bhavin Dave, MD; Michal Bartel, MD; Muhammad Hanafi, MD; and Physician Assistant Stephanie Nguyen, PA-C.
This practice is part of the Bayhealth Medical Group which operates practices throughout central and southern Delaware. Dr. Agnihotri is highly trained and specializes in advanced endoscopy as well as standard procedures to diagnose and treat all types of conditions in the upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) tract. He is accepting new patients.

Dr. Agnihotri recently completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There he participated in cutting-edge research and honed his skills in performing minimally invasive procedures using an endoscope—a thin, flexible tube with a camera and light that examines the inner workings of the body. Dr. Agnihotri is experienced in managing the most complex disorders of the digestive system and nearby organs.
Previously he completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Agnihotri did an internship and residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He has a medical degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India consistently ranked as the premier medical school in the country.
